An ayurvedic practitioner would carefully calibrate the type and dosage of sneha utilised after taking into account the patient's constitution and condition, as well as their digestive power. The patient will be on a restricted diet before receiving abhyantara snehana treatment in order to cleanse the body's channels, and the procedure is commonly done while fasting.

2. External ( Bahya )

includes head, foot, and body massages, oil pulling or gargling, sneha application to specific body parts, and pichu, in which warm oil is poured continuously into the body through a hole in a cotton towel.

Snehana is especially beneficial for Vata issues like insomnia, tension, and anxiety. Infertility, dry skin, anaemia, and weariness are also treated with it.
